ok, so for real, how much longer do i have before i meet my newest edition?
my doctor told me at my appointment last tuesday i was 3 centimeters dialted and 75 percent thin. she said she could feel my water bag bulging. She was like “umm yeah i dont think we’ll be seeing you in time for anoter appointment, i’ll think you’ll be delivering by this weekend.” “but just in case we’ll make an appointment for monday. Well tomorrows moday and still no baby…i’ll be 38 weeks tuesday. I have 2 other kids, one was early and was was late, both by a week. I have been walking everday, chasing after my kids, dancing, having sex, eating pineapples, cleainig non-stop, playing jumping games with my kids, you name it, my water still hasn’t broke, yes i have daily contractions, but their not a certain interval of minutes apart.
Do you think I’m really close to delivering here within the next few days or even hours, (3 centimeters and 75% thin almost a week ago), or is my doctor maybe off with her measuring, after all she is a midwife. How long do people usually walk around like this, especially when they already have a 1 and 2 year old keeping them on their feet already? wat have you all heard of at this point??? I kinda need to know even tho i kno im not in control, i have like 4 appointments tomorrow and 1 is for court for a very complicated legal issue i have in my life right now, i need to know how likely it is that i will be in the hospital… …?????? plus my mom is a single widowed mother her self who works full time so this kinda stuff requires some kinda notice for her to be able to help me, and a false alarm screws up everything by a whole week when my miwifes telling me prolly within 3 or 4 days and my moms requested it off but there was no baby. UUUGGHHH!! help im stressed out!
i appreciate everones honesty, even though i have 2 other kids myself and i’ve never heard of a women walking around 3 cm’s and 75 percent thin for 6 weeks but ok , whatever. i kno for a fact i will be induced before 6 weeks is over because my 1st baby was born at 39 weeks and he was 9 lbs 14 oz and i had to be induced. and my doc always induces at 4 cm’s anywais long as the cervix looks like it will bbe able to catch up. i dont appreciate her giving me false hopes though, she shouldn’t do that if she really has no idea…!! ugh!

baby will come when it’s ready…there’s no way to predict it.

Unfortunately women have been known to walk around being 3cm dialated and 75 percent effaced for weeks, and not go into labour. It doesnt necessarily mean that labour is in the near future, but sometimes it does.
My sister, and my dh’s friend from work both walked around 3cm dialated and 75% effaced for 6+ weeks. My sister went 2 weeks overdue, and my dhs friend went 1 week overdue. I hope this is not the case for you, and that your baby decides to join you soon!
